God’s Food Pantry
In 2017, we averaged 40 new families per month that utilized the food pantry for the very first time!
In Buffalo Country, 12 percent of adults and 18 percent of children are considered to be food insecure, according to annual statistics by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
In 2017, we filled 1,906 food boxes; an average of 191 food boxes per month that fed an average of 518 individuals.
With the closing of the Mid-Nebraska Food Bank, we now receive food from the Food Bank for the Heartland of Omaha. Since August 2017, Kearney Jubilee Center has purchased 9,340 pounds of food.
Without the generous support of our community, combined with grant funds, we could not provide this important ministry.
